Compare the ways Pullwise can run reviews, with your own OpenAI, Claude or Gemini key, a self-hosted model, or the hosted Pullwise model, and how to set each up.
Each workspace picks one way to run reviews. You can change it at any time in AI.

Bring your own key
On the Anthropic, OpenAI or Google Gemini card, select Add key, paste your API key and optionally a model. Then select Verify and Make active. Reviews with your own key are free on Pullwise and never use credits. Step by step: set up your AI model.
Tips:
- Create a dedicated key for Pullwise so you can track spend and revoke it on its own.
- Larger models give more thorough reviews but cost more per review.
Saved keys are never shown again in the portal, only whether one is set.

Pullwise AI
Use our hosted code-review model with nothing to set up. The AI page shows Platform mode when your workspace uses it. To switch, contact support. Each review uses credits based on its size. See credits and billing.
